Today we celebrate the birthday of second degree black belt, 1st generation disciple, Alamo class manager, and all around amazing guy: Mr. Hodge!
Mr. Hodge’s dedication to his training has resulted in a life full of adventure and growth. Having started his training in 1999, Mr. Hodge dedicated himself to his studies in Bok Fu Do and went on to earn his instructor rank by 2002. After many years of hard work and experience in both national and international competition, he earned his first degree black belt in the Bok Fu Do system in 2006. In 2012, Mr. Hodge earned a spot on the USA National team by qualifying at the International Kuoshu Championships in Baltimore. He went on to win the World Championships in Malaysia in some hard fought battles and became a World Champion. In 2013, he was honored to be chosen by Grandmaster Lee as a first generation disciple.
Now, as the class manager in Alamo, Mr. Hodge spends his days (and nights!) helping students achieve their goals and dreams. Students love his enthusiasm and they know they are guaranteed to get a great work out and learn a lot in any of his classes!
Mr. Hodge, we hope you enjoy your birthday and find that all the kindness and positivity that you share with others every day comes back to you many times over. Here is to a happy, healthy, and prosperous new year of life for you!
