Unlike most martial arts today, the Bok-Fu-Do workout is a complete workout: a great stress release that cleanses and renews the soul. Individuals put their entire being into their training, physically exerting the body, mentally focusing the mind, and emotionally directing their energies.
Bok-Fu-Do promotes understanding of the emotional forces (such as
fear and anxiety) that are at work inside an individual in
a pressure filled environment (such as an attack situation),
and teaches them how to channel those feelings into powerful
bursts of energy that can be used to defend themselves or
