ATTENTION
Former Students of the 1960’s, 1970’s, and 1980’s

Thank you for viewing our photographic history. If you have come this far, you are obviously interested in Bok-Fu-Do and it’s history. As you can see, Grandmaster Lee is devoted to absolute excellence in the field of Chinese martial arts. His international exposure and experience is likely comparable to none when it comes to American born Grandmasters of Chinese martial arts. While it is clear that Grandmaster Lee has enjoyed success on every level in martial arts he likely remains more recognizable outside of the United States than in because of his commitment to promoting Chinese Kuoshu (Kung-Fu) worldwide. And if a picture is worth a thousand words, than what you have viewed from the 1960’s forward is worth a million in testament to this commitment.

Grandmaster Lee has never been more focused on his life’s work and continues to develop some of the highest quality martial arts athletes in the world today. Certainly his top students of past and present have made their mark on the world by competing and winning in international events such as the Pan Am Games and World Kuoshu (Kung-Fu) tournaments, and are historical figures in martial arts in America. Now approaching his seventies, Grandmaster Lee limits his time to working with his disciples, masters, black belts, and the top students of Bok-Fu-Do.

As a point of interest, several books have been written documenting Grandmaster Lee and the Bok-Fu-Do system. One of these books - Grandmaster Lee’s 50th anniversary in the martial arts – will be made available for purchase in the near future. Those interested in obtaining a copy, please contact us via this website for more details.

A book on Grandmaster Lee’s life story is currently underway that will be published both in English and Chinese. If there are any former students from the 1960’s, 1970’s, or 1980’s that have held on to pictures of the East-West schools, tournaments, or other events including World Tournaments please feel free to share them via email or mail. If you are a former student wishing to contribute a letter of testimony regarding your relationship with Grandmaster Lee please feel free to share this as well. Any personal letters submitted should be in type written form on personal or corporate stationary. Include a formal picture of yourself if possible. We cannot promise that any specific pictures or letters will be used in the book but all submissions will be duly considered.

Yours in Bok-Fu-Do,

Master John Buckley
Personal Biographer and 1st Disciple of Grandmaster Richard Lee
