Brief Bio:
Lauren Canas began studying martial arts at only three and a half years old. From an early age Mr. Canas began competing at the national level. Soon thereafter he began traveling the world, representing East West in international and world competitions. He is one of the youngest students to have earned his black belt in the Bok Fu Do system when he achieved that goal at the age of fifteen. He is one of only a handful of students to have earned their black belt rank before graduating high school. Mr. Canas is now a student at Ursinus College, a private university in Pennsylvania. Mr. Canas is a Richard Lee 1st degree black belt. He represented the United States at the 1st World Kuoshu Championships in Brazil in 2003 and has represented the United States at several European Championship tournaments. In 2003, Mr. Canas was named the Teen Competitor of the Year by the U.S.C.K.F.
